Samsung rolled out the One UI 9 Beta for the Galaxy S26 series on May 13, and users are already waiting for the next update. While there’s no official word yet on Beta 2, the timing is pretty easy to guess based on Samsung’s past releases.
One UI 9 Beta 2 Expected Around May 26
Usually, Samsung doesn’t keep a long gap between beta updates. Most of the time, the second beta comes after about two weeks. If that pattern holds again, One UI 9 Beta 2 could show up around May 26.
We’ve seen the same thing before with One UI 8.0 and One UI 8.5. In both cases, Samsung pushed the second beta roughly 14 to 15 days after the first one, mainly to fix early bugs and smooth out performance.
Another interesting detail is that Samsung has already planned the next beta expansion for May 26 in countries like India and Poland. That lines up closely with the expected Beta 2 timeline, so it’s likely the update will roll out around the same time in other regions too.
This next beta won’t bring big new features. It’s more about fixing issues users report from Beta 1, improving stability, and making the system feel more polished.
One UI 9 itself, based on Android 17, brings changes across the system like better customization, improved privacy controls, smoother animations, and more refined performance.
Samsung is also expected to finalize One UI 9 closer to the launch of its next foldable phones later this year. Until then, Galaxy S26 users should see a few more beta updates before the stable version arrives.
