Samsung has already opened the One UI 9 Beta Program for the Galaxy S26 lineup, and the next phase of the rollout may arrive sooner than expected. While the company has not confirmed new devices yet, attention is now shifting toward Samsung’s foldable phones.
One UI 9 Beta May Expand Beyond Galaxy S26 Series
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are currently the most likely candidates for the next One UI 9 beta release. Samsung usually prioritizes its premium foldables when testing new software features before the stable version goes public.
This early testing helps Samsung fine-tune large-screen features, multitasking performance, and foldable animations. It also allows the company to improve app continuity and Flex Mode stability ahead of future foldable launches.

Samsung is expected to introduce its next foldable generation later this year. The upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 could become the first devices to ship with the stable One UI 9 update out of the box.
One UI 9 is expected to deliver a cleaner and smarter user experience across Galaxy devices. The update focuses on faster controls, better customization, smoother animations, and more practical everyday tools.
Samsung Notes may gain new productivity options, while Quick Settings and Game Booster are also expected to receive useful upgrades. Accessibility improvements and privacy-focused changes are reportedly part of the update as well.
The company could also introduce a few foldable-exclusive features once the beta reaches the Z Fold and Z Flip series. These additions may focus on multitasking, split-screen usage, and better one-hand control.
For now, Samsung has only started the beta rollout for the Galaxy S26 series, but foldable users may not have to wait much longer. If Samsung follows its usual timeline, the next beta announcement could happen in the coming weeks.
