Samsung’s next flagship phone, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, is still months away, but leaks have already started appearing. This time, the focus is on the camera, which seems to be getting a small but useful upgrade.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra 24MP camera leak details
According to tipster @UniverseIce, Samsung is testing a 24MP shooting mode for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It’s not enabled by default, so most users won’t see it unless they dig into the settings.

The option can be switched on through Camera Assistant under advanced resolution settings. After that, the 24MP mode shows up directly inside the camera app.
This mode works in both normal photos and portrait shots. It takes a couple of seconds to process each image, but the extra detail is noticeable.
The idea here is simple. It offers better quality than the usual 12MP photos, without pushing users toward Expert RAW or heavy editing tools.
For now, this feature is said to be limited to the Galaxy S26 series only. Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S26 Ultra around February 2026, so more camera details should surface before then.
