Samsung hasn’t said a word yet, but the Galaxy S26+ is starting to show up where it matters most — official certification databases. And when that happens, it usually means one thing: the launch isn’t far off.
The Galaxy S26+, along with the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Ultra, has now appeared under the certification number B38006-26. The listing confirms the device as a cellular mobile phone with support for GSM, WCDMA, LTE, and 5G networks. No flashy details here, but it’s an important early signal that the phone is already moving through regulatory approvals.

Samsung Galaxy S26+ battery and charging details come into focus
Things get more interesting with the TÜV Rheinland certification. According to the listing, the Galaxy S26+ is expected to carry a 4,750mAh battery, which Samsung will almost certainly market as 5,000mAh — a familiar move. The phone is also listed with 45W wired fast charging, meaning Samsung isn’t holding back charging speeds on the Plus model.
The same model number, SM-S947B/DS, has also appeared on India’s BIS certification, strongly pointing toward an official Indian launch. For Indian buyers, this is a clear sign that Samsung plans to bring the S26+ without delay.
Display-wise, Samsung seems to be playing it safe. A report from The Elec suggests the Galaxy S26+ will stick with a 6.66-inch display, identical to last year’s Galaxy S25+. Rather than chasing bigger numbers, Samsung appears focused on polishing what already works.
Another quiet but revealing detail comes from Samsung’s early production plans. For February, the company is reportedly preparing around 700,000 Galaxy S26 units, 600,000 Galaxy S26+ units, and a much larger 3.6 million units of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Compared to January, production of the standard and Plus models is expected to rise, while the Ultra may see a slight dip — a hint that Samsung is adjusting supply based on demand forecasts.
Nothing here is dramatic on its own, but taken together, these certifications and production figures paint a clear picture. The Galaxy S26+ is nearly ready, and Samsung is slowly putting all the pieces in place. At this point, it’s not a question of if the S26+ is coming — it’s how soon Samsung decides to make it official.
