Eye-Catching 4-Color Gemini Overlay Lands on Android Phones

If you’re a Samsung user and you use Google’s Gemini AI, you’re about to see a big change. That classic blue-purple glow that appears when you open it? It’s getting a major upgrade to a new Gemini 4-color animation. It’s a lot more dynamic and looks fantastic.

This is part of a bigger plan from Google to make all their apps and services feel the same. The four colors—Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue—are the same ones you see in many of Google’s app icons. Now, they’re making the Gemini overlay look much more modern and lively. Even the microphone button is getting a thicker outline to match in Dark mode.

How to Get the New Gemini 4-Color Animation

To see this cool new look, you just need to get the latest version of the Google App. Look for version 16.30 in the Play Store and update it. Once you have it, don’t just tap the Gemini app icon. You need to trigger it with a gesture, like swiping from the bottom corner of your screen. That’s when you’ll see the awesome new glow.

The animation starts with all four colors glowing, but then it settles into a lighter blue. This makes the overlay feel fresh and new every time you open it. It’s a small change, but it makes a big difference in how the AI assistant feels.

So, if you want to give your AI assistant a little glow-up, make sure your Google App is up to date. It’s a fun, new change that makes using Gemini on your Samsung phone a bit more exciting.
