Samsung may have let the cat out of the bag a little early. A promotional PDF uploaded by Samsung Colombia has quietly revealed what the company plans to launch as part of its Galaxy S26 series, and it’s not quite the shake-up some people were expecting.
The document lists three phones tied to upcoming promotions: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. That’s it. There’s no Galaxy S26 Pro and no Galaxy S26 Edge anywhere in the file, which pretty much settles the debate around Samsung’s naming plans for 2026.
For months, rumors suggested Samsung was preparing a bigger change. The base model was supposedly getting a “Pro” label, while the Plus version would be dropped in favor of a thinner Edge variant. Somewhere along the way, though, those ideas seem to have been abandoned.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Sticks to the Safe Route
What makes this leak convincing is the context. The PDF was created for marketing purposes, and companies rarely use tentative names at that stage. Once a phone shows up in promotional material, the branding is usually locked in. That’s why this feels less like a rumor and more like an accidental confirmation.
As for the Edge model, it may simply be a timing issue. Samsung has been experimenting with slimmer flagship designs, much like Apple’s iPhone Air push. The problem is that early versions haven’t exactly flown off shelves. That lack of enthusiasm likely explains why the Galaxy S26 Edge didn’t make the cut this year.
In the end, Samsung appears to be choosing predictability over risk. A three-phone lineup is easy to understand, easier to market, and safer in a competitive year.
If nothing changes, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra on February 25, 2026. No Pro model, no Edge revival—just a refined continuation of the formula Samsung already knows works.
