Galaxy S26 Ultra Camera Island design details have surfaced online, revealing a refined approach by Samsung. The company seems focused on improving both appearance and feel across the new Galaxy S26 lineup.
Samsung will introduce a visible camera island on the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra models. However, the Ultra version stands out with a carefully crafted dual-layer camera island.

According to tipster, the Galaxy S26 Ultra camera island has a total bump thickness of around 4.5mm, including the sensors. The phone’s main body remains slim at approximately 7.9mm.
Samsung adopted the two-layer structure to soften the visual abruptness of the camera island. This subtle design choice helps the back panel look smoother and more premium.
At the camera section, overall thickness increases to nearly 12.4mm. The camera rings sit above the layered platform, adding depth without making the design look bulky.
Samsung is also bringing back metal camera rings, replacing the thicker plastic rings from earlier models. This change gives the Galaxy S26 Ultra camera island a cleaner and more premium appearance.
