
Samsung August 2025 Security Update Starts Rolling Out
Samsung has begun rolling out the August 2025 security update to a range of Galaxy devices, bringing with it the important patches for critical vulnerabilities as well as stability enhancements. The update comes as the company continues beta testing for One UI 8, its next Android-based software release.The security patch fixes more than 50 vulnerabilities in Android OS and Samsung’s custom software layers. Flagship devices such as the Galaxy S24 series are among the first to get the update.
Which Galaxy Devices Are Getting the Update
The August 2025 security update is now live for:
Galaxy S24, S23, and S22 series
Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5
Galaxy A54 and A34
Certain Tab S9 models
Samsung sticks to its usual phased launch approach, so availability can differ by carrier and region. Users can download the update manually through Settings > Software update.
One UI 8 Beta Testing Continues Alongside
During distributing security patches, Samsung continues beta testing of One UI 8 with a selection of users. Currently, the beta program consists of Galaxy S24 series ,Galaxy S23 Ultra,Galaxy Z Fold 6 Beta testers experience significant gains in animation smoothness, battery optimization codes, and new customization features. The stable build is likely to roll out with Android 15 sometime this year.
