Get ready – Samsung might drop One UI 8 Beta 4 as early as next Monday (July 21st). Even though the company already launched stable One UI 8 for its new foldables, Galaxy S25 owners are still testing beta software. Leaks suggest this fourth test version is cooking behind the scenes, with insiders spotting an internal build labeled “S938BXXU5ZYG5” ready for release.
One UI 8 Beta 4 Could Hit Your Galaxy S25 Soon
If you’ve been testing earlier betas, One UI 8 Beta 4 aims to smooth out those last few wrinkles. Expect faster animations and fewer stutters – Samsung’s focusing heavily on stability this round. Interestingly, some features like the “adaptive lock screen clock” (that cool wallpaper-wrapping time display) and audio tools temporarily vanished from this build. Don’t panic – this likely means engineers are fixing hidden bugs before reintroducing them.
You may ask: “Why release another beta after foldables received the stable update?” Excellent question! The Galaxy S25 beta program operates independently – Samsung’s getting device-specific refinements to perfection. Beta testers noticed small problems in June’s Beta 3, so One UI 8 Beta 4 serves as a last finish before the official update.
As soon as One UI 8 Beta 4 drops (presumably through the Samsung Members app), update to it and enjoy buttery-smooth performance. Just be aware of two things: First, that fancy dynamic lock screen clock won’t show up yet. Second, that slightly delayed stable version’s now targeting early August instead of late July. Other devices like the Galaxy S24 or Z Flip 6 are still set for their stable One UI 8 in August.
Samsung’s being cautious – and that’s a welcome change. By fitting in One UI 8 Beta 4 in a week, they’re putting your experience first over hurried updates. Previous beta cycles had a similar cadence: Beta 1 in May, Beta 2 around mid-June, Beta 3 toward the end of June. A Monday drop would maintain this consistent rhythm.
